making:

rescued an ~85% done needlepoint from my grandma's apartment and am finishing it. I've never done needlepoint but my gay audacity etc. looking up the actual 'strategy' to doing the orientation of the stitches did help a lot. we're probably at like 95% done now


figuring out how I want my watch relief prints to look...I have a few variations but I'm going to submit at least one of them to a local gallery for their artist's choice show this December


pottery stuff; finished mugs that hold Exactly 8oz of liquid

unfinished sake containers, spoonrests, mug to go with the red one (I'm gonna do a blue one as well :3)

dog mug that the glaze bubbled in the inside so it's not food safe :-( it's a gift for a friend so I basically made him a bespoke pencil holder. oh well. the other side I did not get a photo of but I made paw print shapes using negative space

eating:

made the kenji chicken thighs and bacon, pretty good but I got sick of the cabbage pretty quickly. the leftover chicken is in my freezer but I think I'm throwing out what's left of the cabbage unfortunately. I used my good bacon in it too :-(

this week for me: a jimmy olsen show was just announced with the showrunners beeing the guys from 'american vandal' and 'players (2022). and listen you probbaly have heard of american vandal, its a legit cult classic; but me and the one friend i convinced to watch it with me are part of the 1,000 ish folks that watched players (2022) and my god. it is so good. id argue that its lowkey better than american vandal s2, and i loved that season.

anyways, the thing is that the concept for the jimmy olsen show was revealed as sortaa being like the also cancelled 'powerless' (2017) show, so ive been watching the show and hoenstly? ahead of its time, james gunn def watched powerless at some point so i am very excited that the special little show back in 2017 is gonna have a mini renaissance; vanessa hudgens was so great in it man....
